Parc Oméga, with the Foundation’s support, has set up a temporary care center for injured turtles to provide tangible support for local wildlife conservation efforts. This center serves as an accessible drop-off and stabilization point when injured turtles are found in the region and cannot be transported immediately to specialized centers.

The injured turtles are then transferred to the Centre de réhabilitation des tortues du Québec (CRTQ), an organization renowned for its expertise in veterinary care and the release of wild animals.

This rescue service helps turtles recover quickly, thereby significantly increasing their chances of survival. It directly contributes to the CRTQ’s mission by reducing mortality among injured wildlife, improving rehabilitation rates, and ensuring a rapid response in emergency situations.

Furthermore, this initiative strengthens our role as a committed advocate for biodiversity conservation. It also helps raise awareness among our visitors and partners about the importance of helping wildlife in distress, while fostering a sense of collective responsibility toward nature. Through this project, Parc Oméga serves as a tangible link between the public, wildlife rehabilitation experts, and the urgent needs of wildlife.

If you find an injured turtle, we ask you to contact the Centre de réhabilitation des tortues du Québec (CRTQ), the organization responsible for the care and transportation of injured turtles in Quebec.
